Our body reacts to your feelings. Here’s the proof↓

Feel happy? Your body shows it.

Feel angry? Your body shows it too.

Researchers have developed a fascinating tool called “physiological heatmaps” to visualize these physical responses.

This is fascinating…

Suppose that you watching a funny video.

And then you SMILE. (Your cheeks rise and your mouth widens)

Physiological heatmaps capture these reactions by tracking changes in:

Eye movement

↳ Where you look reveals what grabs your attention.

Skin conductance

↳ This measures emotional arousal, like a sweaty palm during a tense moment.

Pupil size

↳ Our pupils dilate when we’re interested or surprised.

Brain activity

↳ Understanding which brain regions activate during specific emotions is key.

By combining this data, researchers create heatmaps showing which parts of your body react most intensely to different emotions.

🟥 Red areas indicated increased activity.

🟦 Blue areas indicated decreased activity.

For example,

i. Anger activates the chest and forehead.

ii. Happiness lights up the arms and mouth area.

Interesting! Right?

Here’s the research info 👇

They tested this method on 44 participants.

Results showed that Physiological heatmaps pinpoint emotional reactions better.

[I think it was lengthy enough. Some more in the comments.]
